The home of Dickie and Jan Watkins at 1222 Mohawk is recognized as the September 2012 Yard of the Month.
The Watkins’s provided the following: “We grew up in Richardson and have lived in a couple of other Richardson neighborhoods. We moved into our house 2-1/2 years ago. We spent 6 months remodeling prior to moving in. We removed all of the landscaping including the bricked up beds and started with a clean slate. We updated the porch with flagstone. We included plants of different color and texture including barberry, chinese fringe, japanese maples, azaleas, hawthorns, nandinas, wood fern and lambs ear leaving space for some annual color. We love being a part of the Reservation.”
