Crime Watch Patrol
The Crime Watch Patrol regularly drives or walks the streets and alleys of the neighborhood looking for situations that lend themselves to crime. When such situations are noticed the CWP will try to call the resident to alert them to the situation or else call the Richardson Police Department to take action. Please tell us about your interest in the CWP.
Adult Night Out
A few times a year a group of neighbors visit a local restaurant to share a meal. Volunteers are needed to help plan the events and select places to go. Please volunteer.
Events Committee
The RNA provides several events for neighbors to attend each year. These normally include an Easter Egg Hunt, a 4th of July Parade and Picnic, a fall gathering in the park named Roundup. and a winter event - Holiday in the Park. Volunteers are needed to help with the overall planning and with each event.
Easter Egg Hunt
This spirited event happens normally on the Saturday before Easter. Volunteers are need to stuff and hide the plastic eggs in the park.
Fourth of July Parade and Picnic
Each Fourth of July, JJ Pearce HOA and RNA put together a parade and picnic. Many volunteers are needed to plan and manage all the entries in the parade and also to provide a picnic lunch in the park. Please volunteer to help with this event.
Fall Gathering - Roundup
Each year toward the end of September we Roundup the neighbors for a family picnic in the park, that includes music and dancing, and treats for the kids. This event is a great tradition for neighborhood. Volunteer to help organize it or participate in the many needed jobs.
Holiday in the Park
December brings cooler temps and a time to celebrate the holidays. This event varies each year and has included sleigh rides, carol singing, viewing the Christmas lights, and decoration contests. There is a lot of flexibility so bring your ideas and volunteer.
Association Officers
The President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected at the Annual Meeting in the fall. If you have an interest in serving in one of these offices, please volunteer for consideration by the Nominating Committee.
Membership Committee
This committee manages the membership campaign each year. Please volunteer to help.
Civic Committee
This committee keeps up with events in the City and informs the neighborhood.
Block Captain
Each block in the neighborhood has a block captain who welcomes new residents, works the membership drive for their block, and holds an annual block party, usually on National Night Out. Please volunteer to be a block captain.
Welcoming Committee
This group prepares Welcome kits for newcomers and distributes them to the appropriate Block Captain for delivery.
Special Interest Groups - Connections
There are a number of special interest groups, called Connections, where small groups of neighbors meet to share their interests. These have included Book Review, Bible Study, pick-up basketball, tennis, golf, board and card games, etc. Please volunteer to manage the group or else suggest a group or activity that you would like to be part of.
